Lighting Workshop!

To guide us on filming a music video of our own, we were lucky enough to receive a workshop on lighting, to make sure that we had perfect and clear lighting throughout our music video as we were attempting to make it look professional.
Some of the skills we learnt were:
- 3 Point Lighting (Key,Back &Fill Lighting)
- 4 Point Lighting (Key,Back, Fill &Background Lighting)
- How to use the Lighting box & move the lights to the correct angle.
- How to create different moods.

1)Key Light                                  2)Back Light                            3)Fill Light
Key Light: This is the main light, the strongest light which highlights one side of the face and shadows the other side of the face to create effect.
Fill Light: This light is used to fill in the shadows created by the key light as it is based opposite to the key light. This fill light will be a softer light compared to the key light.
Back Light: This light is mainly used to highlight the subjects outline, as it is placed in rear. The whole point of the back light is to differentiate the subject with the background.
